Tayto Park
Just five minutes’ drive from the hotel, Tayto Park will be open 10am – 6pm on Saturdays on Sundays. With plenty to keep the whole family entertained, the park hosts Cu Chulainn, Ireland’s first rollercoaster and Europe’s largest wooden rollercoaster with an inversion! Named after one of the great eternal warriors of Irish history, this thrilling ride is 32.5 meters at its highest point and has heart stopping drops of 29 meters. Not one for the faint hearted!
If you are not a fan of thrilling rides, Tayto Park also offers an aerial trekking course, a zoo, the eagle sky adventure and much more.
Puddenhill Activity Centre
An award winning indoor & outdoor activity centre, Puddenhill Activity Centre is the perfect venue for a family day out. Just 15 minutes’ drive from the hotel, the activity centre hosts a huge indoor soft play area plus a café for mums and dads to enjoy a coffee while children enjoy all the centre has to offer. Puddenhill also offers an indoor karting track, with electrical karts suitable for 4 -6 year olds.
Puddenhill is open 7 days a week with the soft play area open Tuesday - Friday 10am – 5.30, Saturdays 10am - 5.30pm and Sundays 11.30am to 6pm plus Bank Holidays!
Rathbeggan Lakes
A little piece of heaven, found just 20 minutes’ drive from the Pillo Hotel, Rathbeggan Lakes offers beautiful walkways, lakes and woodland that can be enjoyed all year round. Walk on water at the Water Zone and try out the obstacle course or water rollers. Watch out for the resident ducks as you pass on swan paddle boats, perfect for families to enjoy together.
The Family adventure park also offers an adventure trail, a bounce and playground zone and a High Kings Tower Zone, offering ziplining for bigger kids!

Newgrange Farm
Newgrange Farm and Archaeological Park gives visitors a great insight info farm life today and also in older times. A leading working farm that is open to the public, surrounds the famous national monument of Newgrange. Family owned with a working farm, families can try bottle feeding, feeding and petting of all farm animals, poultry and so much more.
Kids Cook
A cookery school specially designed for children of all ages, run a range of kids cooking lessons and can be found in Clonee, on the border of Meath and Dublin.
Designed with children in mind and thoughtful touches such as child- friendly cooking utensils, all classes are hands on with children working in small groups and having fun learning basic cooking and baking techniques. The staff at Kids Cook are passionate about cooking and teaching children how to enjoy cooking too.
