As the days in lockdown turn into weeks it's getting harder to find things to keep our little ones entertained. We've put together a simple bird spotting list which can even be used from indoors while looking out the window or while sitting in the garden and the best thing... it requires a little bit of quiet time! ;)
This is great for kids of all ages and is something I used to do when my son was just starting to walk, I would cover the outside window sill in crumbs and seeds and let him watch all the little birds! If you have older kids in the house ask them to sketch the birds they've seen.
We've experimented with using different food to attract different types of birds, so far we've tired bread, some seeds and oats.
